Laser Spine Institute Purchases Aspen Back & Body

Laser Spine Institute (LSI) has acquired Aspen Back &Body LLC (ABB), which will extend LSI’s patient care capabilities into non-surgical areas, for an undisclosed amount, according to the Tampa, Fla.-based firm.

ABB, based in Aspen, Colo., is a provider of therapies that blend spine fitness and wellness to prevent and relieve back and neck pain. It offers clients one- to three-week spine fitness programs, which includes three to four hours a day of personalized therapy.

These programs include strength training, gyrotonic flexibility sessions, vibration training, water therapy and pilates, as well as education sessions, signature massage and healthy meals.

LSI founder and Chief Surgeon James St. Louis, M.D., said, “This will allow LSI to care for our patients across the cycle ofspinal care whether patients seek maximum pre-surgical relief or continued support for post-surgical results.”
